Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving 2011. We had a lovely weekend with family, and the weather was so nice this year!! The highlight of the weekend was surely the big Zach gathering. Aside from my cousin who is living in Belgium this year, everyone was there (it's been a while since that happend). In the past few years, we've started doing "thankfuls" where everyone - all 30-something of us - goes around the huge table and say what we're thankful for. Apparently we were feeling extra sappy this year because there were lots of hugs and tears shared. What a special group of people, that Zach family. Love them!!

Family photo on mom and dad's front porch. Enjoying the nice weather.

What a good daddy/uncle. Somehow Jon always gets the little ones to focus on something. Even Lucy sits nicely for him. His patience is never-ending. We love you!

So, Brooklyn had a school project to build a car that would go 5 meters with the force of only a balloon. Brooklyn, being the girly girl she is, was interested in decorating the car (hot pink with zebra stripes) but Jon was there to help get the car to go. He had some great ideas and the car went way further than 5 meters. All the kids joined in on the fun. I can't wait for Jon to be able to help our kiddos with science projects. Mostly because he'll be so good at it, but also because I know I wouldn't be!
