I wish our video monitor had a record button. Lizzy has been so cute in her bed lately. We usually put her to bed at about 8:00 or 8:15 but she spends at least 20 or 30 minutes "playing" in her bed before she goes to sleep. She wants to have at least two blankies in her bed, two pillows, her big puppy, three or four little puppies, and her Elmo... and her binky.
When I put her in bed she takes her time to carefully organize her bed just so. Big puppy goes in the corner. Little puppies line up by big puppy. One pillow goes at the top for her head and one pillow goes at the bottom by her feet. Elmo goes on the side. And then there are the blankies. She wants them folded a certain way when she goes to bed. If they're not done right, she holds them up and says "fold, please". (Hope I'm not perpetuating some OCD tendencies there.)
Her bed doesn't stay arranged this way for long, as you can see in the photo below. After arranging her bed, her nighttime ritual includes singing softly to her puppies. So cute. She also likes to have a book to read. I can't quite tell if she's reading to herself or to her friends. Either way, it's precious. She also gives Elmo lots of kisses before going to sleep. Absolutely adorable.
