Lizzy's Last Day at St. Mark's and Field Trip with St. Mark's Class

On October 6, Lizzy had her last day at St. Mark's. It was very much a bittersweet day for us. Lizzy has been at St. Mark's since she was 13 weeks old. She started at another daycare, but that only lasted a week. Mommy didn't feel right about that one and Lizzy wasn't happy there. So, St. Mark's came to our rescue and was a Godsend for our family. They loved Lizzy and took such good care of her. The teachers in the Ladybug (infant) room - Miss Jen, Miss Lisa, and Miss Gabi - were wonderful at keeping Lizzy happy as a small baby and early toddler. When Lizzy was going through her most shy stage, she still reached for Miss Lisa in the mornings. She didn't do that for anyone else, not even daddy. When Lizzy was going through her "spitting all food out" stage, they worked with her every day and didn't give up. We love the Ladybug teachers and will miss them dearly!

Then in June, Lizzy moved up to the Monkey (toddler) room at St. Mark's. Everyone was a little nervous about the change because Lizzy doesn't love change or "strangers." But, she did really well with the move and found some good friends in the Monkey room. She became particularly attached to Miss Erika because, as Miss Wendi put it, Erika spoils her and holds her whenever she wants. Well, as long as you love my little girl and treat her well, we love it, too. Lizzy really blossomed in the Monkey room and it's been so fun to see the changes.

So even though the care Lizzy received at St. Mark's was AWESOME, we only needed daycare two days a week, and didn't want to keep paying for full time care, especially with another one on the way. So we reluctantly said good-bye to St. Mark's and all of our friends there, including Miss Lynn and Miss Teri (the directors). The day after the last day she was at St. Mark's, we took one last field trip with her class to Roca Berry Farm. It was a really fun day!

And these next photos are of the field trip with St. Mark's and mommy and daddy:

She finds the "puppies" whereever we go, and that's always her favorite

What a big girl!

Daddy was yelling out the colors as they walked across, and she was giggling so hard

The bouncy pillows were a huge hit
