Not-So-Ordinary Day

Today I was able to spend some time in Lizzy's preschool classroom. How fun it is to get a glimpse of her day. And I really appreciate her teachers more than ever. The care and patience they have for all those little ones is pretty incredible.

While the kids were dying Easter eggs, I filled eggs with candy and hid them in the courtyard. It was so fun to see how excited all the kids were to hunt for eggs. After the egg hunt, we played freeze tag, had story time, and then played out in the NEC before I left for work. Fun day.

About an hour after I got to work,I received a phone call from Henry's teacher that she was filling out an incident report for a black, puffy eye on Henry but they had no idea how he got it. He never cried at all. Tough kid. We all concluded he was probably fighting over a dinosaur book with another kid. Makes sense to me. Here's the result:

An eventful day for sure.
